Can we have forum tracking back, please? Stopped october 25th.

Btw: Why is that the tracker stops working once in a while?

In the most recent instance, the part of the site that scraped the forums suffered a logout.

https://github.com/ccbrown/gggtracker/issues/45

Edit: The main page for the repo says that forum tracking needs a session key to be passed in. This is similar to how most 3rd party tools (those that don't take your username/password) work. Sessions don't last forever though; but because they can last for months a lot of 3rd party tools don't handle the case well. Apparently GGGtracker is one of them. (For it the ideal low effort option would probably be to email the owner when the session key is rejected. Storing a user/password to be able to regenerate the session key would be more work and of greater risk of something going wrong.)

Thanks for this. I didn’t know. So the next time it happens we should pm OP?

We can try (and someone also attempted to ping OP on github); but prior to yesterday it'd been a half year since the last time OP logged into the forum. I'm assuming the core issue is the person who created the site is on a long term break from the game.

Can we have the feed as JSON file, so I can easily integrate it into my discord bot?

The site appears to be largely abandonware, so probably not unless you write a patch to do it. Do you know Go, or are you interested in learning it?

If you head to the big Discord server we publish every GGG post via the #ggg-tracker channel, so you could follow that to get the same functionality. Or PM Multiplicity (who looks after the bot). He might let you use it.

I am on the Discord for ages (and still not promoted to exile because I don't spam so much x))
I wanna integrate a tracker into my new Izaro Bot, as I want to filter messages the way I need it for my guild and infos we care about.

I am currently learning JS and node with the discord bot, another extra would be a bit hard.
