Progression is pretty straighforward:
Before 3.3 i usually levelled with Fire trap, then ice trap, then switched to spell traps. But for now there would be much more options: like explosive trap for example all they way up till maps. Arc in general is a pretty weak spell, so it requires some levelling before it gains needed strength. All TRAPPER nodes first, then start gathering crit chance and then Blast Cascade. Invest in LIFE a lot, as it's really hard to get 5k life with a trapper. I also changed the tree a bit, since Master Sapper is higher now. WE can get life from Revenge of the Haunted instead of Thick Skin, and it will give us 1000 more evasion as well!
I will be going for cast speed for sure for maximum zap times on 8sec trap


tbh all you need to lvl with is arc, explosion trap until you got a 3-4l and use support trap and your set, arcs 15% dmg for each remaining chains makes it more than enough to speed lvl with ^^ i oneshot everything all the way to maps just with deerskin & arc

so,still no “build” in thread. just link to pob and thats all. Pathetic. so i can spam with 99 such thrrads just with links to some build and thats all. Nice work.

How would a trapper such as this fair against endgame bosses? Is the single-target adequate for something like Shaper or UberAtziri?

For Shaper yes, for Ube Atziri.. I need to check. It might be toughness issues more than a damage issue

There will be build when i am done levelling in incursion. Then i will transition to standard and start testing new gems. Some people actually have life :)

I'm playing an arc trapper with a different tree. I went to the Templar area instead of the Ranger area and got a lot of reduced mana nodes. Nonetheless, I checked your PoB just to get a glimpse of what auras you pretend to use and the gem links for arc, cause I've never played traps before.

As I could see, your PoB configuration is impossible to achieve, cause you use wrath + conductivity on blasphemy, arctic armor and a lvl 19 clarity.

As traps demand a lot of mana, I think it's ideal to run only wrath and clarity just to have a comfortable amount of mana free to spam traps when needed, especially in the temple, where some rares are really tanky when affected by life regen.

Do you have any specific input on this matter?

    You can ignore most of my gems and my absolutely HORRIBLE gear really. I only run Clarity right now, leveling Wrath, no CWDT setup or anything yet, just cruising up through T4-T5 maps until I can substain map drops to go higher. Only spent currency on the wands so far, gear has enough res to cap me and pull me through, with some life.

    Build is smooshing everything, not a single problem really besides the chaos damage in the Temple. Gonna pick up a Tinkerskin ASAP as well. Noot too sure how much more OP the Shimmerons will be since the temple modded wands are VERY good this league. Will see when I can start farming them for myself.

    Hmm that's really weird indeed. It looked like PoB messed up some skills completely after update. Afaik i had conductivity on low level cwdt and only wrath was active. I need to check it out
